Confirm your Oceankaj terminal
Oceankaj has several terminal buildings. Read your cruise information or ask staff which passenger exit and bus stop serve your ship. Do not rely on a photo of another terminal.
Find the connection to Orientkaj
Visit Copenhagen describes bus 25 from Oceankaj during cruise calls and bus 164 as another option. A cruise-operated shuttle may also be available, but its availability depends on your call. Check the destination sign and the current service before boarding.
Take the M4 Metro into the city
At Orientkaj, use the M4 towards central Copenhagen. Kongens Nytorv is a useful stop for Nyhavn and the central waterfront. Other stops may suit your itinerary better, so choose the destination before buying a ticket.
When a taxi makes more sense
A taxi removes the bus-to-Metro change and can be useful with heavy luggage, a mobility constraint, poor weather, or a short call. Ask for the current fare or use the provider's estimate; older published prices may be misleading. For the return, keep the exact terminal and quay available to show the driver.
Returning to Oceankaj
Reverse the journey through Orientkaj only if current service and your time buffer make it sensible. If the connection is disrupted or your margin is shrinking, switch to a taxi early. Your cruise line's all-aboard time takes priority over any route estimate in a guide or app.
